I was born and raised in Smyrna, Georgia—about 15 minutes outside Atlanta (and yes, in a post-Omeretta society, that distinction matters). I’m a proud first-generation Nigerian American and a true ‘80s-born millennial. My perspective is a rich blend of cultures, generations, and soul—shaped by my Naija roots and Southern upbringing.

As a writer, creative producer and storyteller, I help brands, agencies, creatives, community leaders, and purpose-driven organizations tell truer stories and build meaningful experiences across every medium: words, film, campaigns and rooms full of people. For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and soul work.

I’ve produced influencer campaigns and brand shoots for Fortune 500 companies like The Home Depot and Haleon, and told stories for nonprofits, wellness brands, and founders building something that matters. I pair that with an MBA, so the story always serves a goal.

Whether I’m leading workshops or producing videos, campaigns, and experiences, I help people and organizations tell stories that identify purpose and impact communities.

I’m the founder of The Write Pieces, a storytelling studio, and the author of four books. My writing has appeared in ABC News, Parade, and xoNecole, and every week in Smoke Brk., my Substack of stories from the in-between. I co-host King Meets Queen with my husband, Xavier, a podcast about culture, life, and relationships. I’m also a spoken word artist and certified yoga instructor, and since 2014 I’ve curated retreats and storytelling spaces for people who are ready to reconnect with themselves and their story.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me on long walks in nature, deep in a series binge, or watching Insecure for the fifteenth time.
